The short answer
There is no central “IPTV Smarters account”. The app stores a profile locally on each device, holding the credentials your provider issued. Moving to a new TV means entering those same credentials again — nothing to transfer, nothing to recover from Smarters themselves. Keep your credentials somewhere safe and a new device takes two minutes.
What a profile actually is
This trips people up constantly, so it is worth being precise. When you “log in” to IPTV Smarters Pro, you are not creating an account with the app’s developer. You are saving a local profile on that device containing:
- The name you typed (a label, nothing more).
- The server URL, username and password your provider issued.
- Local preferences — buffer size, decoder, favourites, parental PIN.
Consequences that follow directly from this:
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Can I recover my login from Smarters? | No. Only your provider has it |
| Do favourites sync between devices? | No. They are local to each device |
| If I uninstall, do I lose the subscription? | No. Only the local profile |
| Does installing on a 4th device cost more? | No. Only simultaneous streams are limited |
| Can I be “logged out” remotely? | Not by the app — but a provider can disable the line |
Keep your credentials where you can find them
Since nothing is recoverable from the app, the practical advice is simple: when your details arrive, save them somewhere you will still have in a year — a password manager, a note on your phone, anywhere that is not only the chat they arrived in. You will want them every time you buy a TV.
If you do lose them, that is fine — message us and we reissue. But it is an avoidable five minutes.
Moving to a new TV or stick
- Install IPTV Smarters Pro on the new device from its app store.
- Choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
- Enter the same server URL (with its port), username and password.
- Rebuild favourites and set the buffer and decoder again — these are local.
There is no need to remove the profile from the old device first, and no device limit to worry about. Do remove it if you are selling or giving away the old TV, since the credentials are stored on it.
Running more than one playlist
Smarters supports several profiles on one device — useful if you have a second line, or are trialling a provider against your current one. Add a second profile and switch between them from the profile screen.
Two cautions. First, each profile’s streams count against that line’s own connection limit, so running two profiles simultaneously from the same subscription uses two connections. Second, on a low-memory device like an HD Fire Stick, several large line-ups loaded at once is a real cause of sluggishness.
Setting it up for a household
- Parental PIN on every device children use. Settings → Parental Controls, set a PIN, lock the adult group. This lives in the app, not with the provider, so it has to be done per device.
- Build favourites per room. The living-room TV and a child’s tablet want different lists, and because favourites are local you can genuinely tailor them.
- Agree on connections. Most household arguments about IPTV are actually about running out of simultaneous streams.
Account-level problems and what they mean
| What you see | What it usually is | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| “Invalid credentials” on a new device | Missing port in the server URL | Check http:// and :port are both present |
| Worked yesterday, rejected today | Expired package | Check the end date; plans do not auto-renew |
| Cut off mid-programme | Connection limit reached | Someone else started watching |
| Works on phone, not on TV | The TV’s network or app | Test the M3U in VLC to isolate it |
| Profile vanished after an update | App data cleared | Re-enter credentials; nothing is lost on our side |
| Everything buffers | Not an account issue | The buffering guide |
If a device is lost or stolen
Your credentials are on it in plain text. Tell us and we will reissue the line; the old credentials stop working immediately and you re-enter the new ones on the devices you still have. That is the only way to revoke access, because the app itself has no remote logout.
Next steps
Save your credentials somewhere durable today, then set up each device from the installation guide. If you are on a Fire Stick, the Fire TV guide covers the device settings this page does not. No credentials yet? Request a trial.
